Born Robert Bartleh Cummings on January 12, 1965 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Rob is a Heavy metal and Industrial Rock musician, a director, and a writer. His dreadlocks, gruff vocal style and fascination with B-movies have helped him become a distinctive element in American heavy metal. He is best known as founder, lead singer and songwriter for White Zombie. In recent years he has also established himself as a solo singer and as a director. His directorial career began with the horror exploitation feature, House of 1000 Corpses, and its sequel, The Devil’s Rejects, released July 22nd, 2005.
On June 5, 2006, after several days of speculation, it was announced that Dimension Films had hired Rob Zombie to write, produce, and direct a new version of the original film, Halloween, for release in October of 2007.

How I met Rob Zombie
He was in my hometown on my birhday, I had gone out the night before, and was VERY hungover (bad, cause it was aound 8 o’clock the following night.) Anyhow, I was down on the floor level with all the people moshing, and I was almost dragged in. So, I took my eyes off the stage long enough to navigate to the side of the stage, where no one was. I looked onstage and he was gone. For some reason, I turned around, and he was THERE. He was looking at me. I wasn’t sure it was actually happening, so I reached out and touched him as a mob of people rushed him. He then ran back onstage. So, it wasn’t a formal meeting, but it’ll suffice.
The last time I saw Rob Zombie
His tour bus broke down at a gas station I was working at. He got off of the bus for a min. I had to do a double take of what I was seeing…he never came in but someone else off the bus did and I asked if that was who I thought it was and they said yeah. So…At least I got to actually see him. Which is good enough for me!

We talked a little about Jeanne Carmen’s edited-out film appearance in House of 1,000 Corpses. I even got to meet his little black pug, Dracula. I asked if he’d be so kind to allow me to be photographed giving him a kiss. He graciously complied. (I was a little teeny weeny bit drunk—just a smidge.)
