When I was 12, I saw Steve Vai live for the first time. I was in the front row, and I told him I loved him, haha. He said he loved me too and threw cotton balls at me.
I want to meet him formally, especially now that I appreciate his music.
he is my favorite guitar player of all times…his playing evokes just every feeling ive ever felt and i think thats priceless but i think i should take a speech sheet to be able to say something to Mr Vai cuz i might be at a loss for words!!!!
There are moments when he plays that really make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I actually had the priviledge of walking him from his dressing room onto the stage at Donnington’s Monsters of Rock.
Considering he was about to play infront of 1000,000 people he was cool as a cucumber and a very lovely bloke!
Awesome human being!
