I was at the Hollywood premiere of The Fountain. It was great. We were all exiting out the front and he was two people ahead of me. I was thinking should I just tap him on the back? Is now a good time? What will I say? Just as I was about to do it, someone comes up to him and they get into this super long conversation. Rats! Maybe next time.

I heard him give the introductions to his 2006 film – The Fountain at the Toronto International Film Festival. He introduced a producer?, the music writer (who worked with Mogwai and Godspeed You Black Emperor), Ellen Burstyn, and then Rachel Weisz, his partner – he said “I don’t know how to introduce her…Acadamy Award Winner…Rachel Weisz.”
