Who introduced me to John Noe
My sister has been… well, not “in love” but certainly “in awe” of John Noe since she first became obsessed with Harry Potter, Pottercast, and all that goes along with it, about three years ago.
We went to New York in 2006 to see An Evening With Harry, Carrie, and Garp, and before that went to the live LeakyMug at Barnes and Nobles. A dream come true, as all of us got to have our books signed and speak with the entire Pottercast crew (yay Sue and Melissa!) and all the Mugglecasters.
My sister and I were dawdling around the store before it started and I said, “Hey, look, John Noe!” Apparently, the warning wasn’t soon enough, because she almost walked into him. Yeah… she freaked out. Almost had an asthma attack. So she went into the ladies’ room to calm down.
And inside, there was Sue Upton and Melissa Anelli, messing around in front of the mirrors. She about flipped.
But it was really cool. :D She actually had a conversation with Sue and got my little sis’ book signed because she wasn’t there and didn’t get to do it herself.
Later, in the signing lines, I wrote “Dawlish” on her forehead with a friend. John Noe took a picture of it with his phone.
Yeah… :) I think that was probably one of the best days of her life. Come to think of it, it was one of the best days of my life.
