Why I admire Bill Maher
He, together with Stephen Colbert, redeemed America in my eyes. Enough said. Glory to youtube, etc.
I believe he is the voice of the True American. The following is an excerpt from his website Bill Maher:
Bill Maher is one of the most politically astute humorists in America today. His unflinching honesty and commitment to never pulling a punch have garnered him the respect and admiration of millions of fans.
I am one of those fans.

Bill Maher performed at a local theater a couple years ago, which I had danced at in my younger, brazen years. Once the show was over I ran to the back exit behind the building. I was the only person waiting! His security guard exited first and told Bill, “there’s only one, sir.” I was so nervous! He stepped out and immediately gave me a hug, and agreed to sign my ticket. I was such a nervous wreck that I couldn’t even form a coherent sentence. Something like, “I, uh, wow, love the show, I’m, like, your biggest fan, heh, wow, thank you, um, come back …” came out.
He’s smart, funny and a complete asshole at times. I’d like to kick him for a few things.
Then ask him for an autograph…
Because he’s smart and funny, and I almost always want to stand and cheer when I watch his show (careful not to knock over the bong). For the most part, he speaks for me, though he ocassionally goes off on what I would call a misoginistic tangent. Oh, and what’s with he and the spawn of satan coulter? Surely he has his pick of skinny blondes; why would he pander to fascist pu**y?
Bill was performing at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach. We got there early and got front row seats. I brought a copy of his book WHEN YOU RIDE ALONE YOU RIDE WITH BIN LADEN. He autographed it for me. He went almost two hours straight of high intensity, thought provoking humor. He is an amazing entertainer and an excellent political satirist.
1.) As a chef who favors good organic food I could help Bill avoid bad food thus escaping the “Pharmacuetical Agricultural industrial complex.” He has been trying to avoid.
2.) I find politicaly astute men sexy.
3.) I love Bill Maher!
I almost always agree with his view of the world. I love his honesty and fearlessness in telling it like it is. If Bill Maher and Jon Stewart didn’t exist I think I’d go insane!
I would like to thank him for his honesty and commitment to the American people. What a guy. Then I would cook him a great dinner.
i stay away from political commentary unless it is along the lines of the Daily Show with John Stewart. this morning, however, at about 0130 i caught the end of an episode of Real Time with Bill Maher and i was stunned – in a good way =). here is guy who is talking about politics as it really is-run by the corporations, who called Bush President McDumbass and feels we need a renegade president.
IMO: Bill Maher is the voice of the true American.
