Why I admire Steven Soderbergh
He may do big-budget flicks like Ocean’s Eleven or Erin Brockovich, but then he does weird little films like Schizopolis or Bubble that are hard for the masses to appreciate. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and he utterly eschews the notion of possessory credits, so you will never see the words “A Steven Soderbergh Film” on the movies he makes. He strikes me as an artist with a real love for his medium.
