Browsing through the cruelty and ignorance of myriad blogs online,I find it downright nauseating how some people have such a pitiful excuse of a self-esteem that they feel they must use Fergie, for example, as their voodoo doll, showering her with such animosity and lies,usually pertaining to “My Humps” and why they found it so “offensive”.For some reason or another,they call her “ugly”,they say she looks “old”,criticize her for joining the Black Eyed Peas,etc,etc,etc.And after shaking my head in utter dibelief, I marvel at this gem of a woman.I call her this beacuse I believe that what the majority of people don’t see is that Fergie’s road to the glamour she now basks in was, undoubtedly,a grim one. Nearly homeless at one point, she has battled a meth addiction, as well as some gang involvment in her teens.
Fergie is painfully gorgeous-undoubtedly the most beautiful woman in the music industry and Hollywood,I think so-but what so many don’t realize is that this beauty runs deep through her blood and into the enormous heart this woman has.She is that little girl with dreams bigger than she can even begin to imagine,with a voice so rich and thrilling,it paints pictures, pictues wild with such genuine ecstasy,all she has to do is pick up the mic and burst into a serenade that makes even the most impressive of hummingbirds and nightingales blush with envy.
Fergie is my greatest role model.I am an admirer of her style of dress, which I find thrillingly classy, as well as a supporter of her forthcoming solo album,which she has called her “side project”(ie: the Black Eyed Peas will NOT seperate, and never intended on doing so).Though I must say that I am a bigger fan of the Black Eyed Pea’s music pre-Fergie(I adore every single thing about them,though, and am one of their most rabid admirers, because they are such a class act and true musicians,such once-in-a-lifetime talent), I was never opposed to her joining the group,and find that she has woven her way right in with utter finesse. While it hurts me to admit that I have never been blessed with the opportunity of meeting this extraordinary woman, I am confident that I will one day stand face to face with my creative and spiritual inspiration.While I will be circumspect not to go into the fanatical lecture I have just given, I will simply hug her just as one would an old friend, and thank her.
