Why I admire Leslie Cheung
Leslie Cheung was just the best actor in the World hands down. He has a tremendous depth, sensitivity and versatility.
Internationally he may be best known for his role in Farewell My Concubine, A Better Tomorrow, Days of Being Wild and Happy Together.
Days of being wild is an ripe example of his ability as his character engages in verbal dual with his adopted mother to find out who his real parents are. To see contrast in his roles, see him in the very feminine role in Farewell my concubine and a pretty masculine/tough role in Shanghai Grand.
Sadly he comitted suicide in 2003.
Leslie you are missed!
