My favorite memory of Waldo Saavedra
One day I knocked at his door and it just opened, behind it there were laughs and giggles of Waldo’s kids being chased by him, he didn’t stop to greet me until he was done playing with them, rolling on the ground. Waldo included his family in a lot of his artwork, they were part of the magic world that he created around him.
Even though he is a very sought famous artist he made time and volunteered to help a group of teenagers (I was one of them) with a magazine project, presented it and designed one of the issues. Thanks Waldo for being one of the people I will always look up to.
