A story about Albert Gore, Jr.
A really talented guy
Albert Arnold “Al” Gore, Jr. (born March 31, 1948) is an American politician, teacher, businessman, and environmentalist. From 1993 to 2001 he was the 45th Vice President of the United States under the Clinton administration.
Previously, Gore had served in the United States House of Representatives (1977–85) and the United States Senate (1985–93) representing Tennessee. He was the Democratic nominee for President in the 2000 election — one of the most controversial and highly contested presidential elections in U.S. history. Despite the fact that Gore won a plurality of the popular vote, with over half a million more votes than the Republican candidate George W. Bush, a month of ballot recounts and court challenges in the state of Florida led the Supreme Court to end the highly disputed contest with its final ruling of Bush v. Gore, handing the electoral college victory, and consequently the presidency, to Bush.[1]
Today, Gore is president of the American television channel Current TV, chairman of Generation Investment Management, a director on the board of Apple Inc., and an unofficial adviser to Google’s senior management. He lectures widely on the topic of global warming, which he calls “the climate crisis.”[2] In 2006 he starred in the Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, discussing global warming and the environment.[3] Gore has a contract to write a new book, The Assault on Reason, to be published May 22, 2007. While he has stated that he has no intention of running for President again, it is frequently speculated that he is a potential candidate for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination.
Al Gore’s passion and integrity in the face of those who call global warming a “hoax” has been greatly inspiring to me. Seeing “An Inconvenient Truth” made me truly see how much trouble the Earth is in, and his compassion and humor bring the point across far better than a hellbent doomsayer ever could.
I was accepted by The Climate Project to be trained by Mr. Gore to give the slide show that he’s developed on Global Warming.
He invited me and 1000 others to a series of Climate Change Project workshops to learn how to present his slideshow (as seen in An Inconvenient Truth) and spread it around the world. He genuinely cared about the participants and it was clear that this is his passion: Saving the Earth.
After seeing An Inconvenient Truth I got motivated to educate people about global warming and I believe that he will start an immense chain reaction of activism with that presentation and movie, and so I think it would be cool to meet him.
I went to a book signing of An Inconvenient Truth, and I waited nearly two hours. It was so worth it. Al Gore is an amazing person, and I was dumbstruck when he spoke to me. All I could say was “You’re wonderful,” and to that he laughed and said thanks.
I also saw the documentary. It was inspiring. Very Emotional, it inspired me to start Making a Difference
I have a deep respect for Al Gore. Add seeing the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” to your list of things to do.

He is an intelligent, compassionate man that has made a true committment to the planet, the climate and the humans that call Earth, “Home”. Al Gore is a respectable leader!
I love his passion about things I consider important and I believe he is one of the most intelligent men I’ve seen. I really find that a very sexy quality in a man. I would love to be able to talk and share my opinion withsomebody like him
