The one thing that stands out in my mind about him was a line in Leaves of Grass. The line said something like, these thoughts are not only mine, but of all men.
I really like this part because a lot of people try to be unique, like nobody else wants the same thing, has thought what they thought, or have went though what they have.
He told it like it is, basically. Which is why I admire him.
