Born Hugh Anthony Cregg III in New York City on July 5, 1950, he is the musician and singer/songwriter who leads the band Huey Lewis & the News . His hits include The Power of Love, which topped the charts in 1985 as part of the soundtrack to the movie Back to the Future. He has also starred in movies of his own, such as Duets (2000) with Gwyneth Paltrow, which resulted in a hit song for the two of them, Cruisin’.
