How I met Paula Deen
I met Paula Deen at her cooking school in Savannah, GA during the summer of 2006. She was so friendly-completely down to earth and she had a million stories-some of which I could not repeat without blushing!
A charming Southern lady who brings the best of Southern cooking and home life to the rest of the world through her television show, Paula’s Home Cooking, and her Savannah restaurants, The Lady & Sons and Uncle Bubba’s Oyster House (co-owned with her brother).

She seems like such a FUN person to know! She has inspired me to try new dishes, and makes cooking (and eating) seem so enjoyable!
She is just the most fun loving woman ever! I met her and Michael! They were a blast! She loves to laugh and she loves life. I hope to see her again one day, and maybe meet her boys!
Paula loved me! shes told me i was adorable and that i need to go to savanna so she can bake me some biscuits! i told her i love jamie and want to me him! she is just like she is on her show, genuinly nice!
I met Paula in her restaurant in Savannah before she moved to the much newer, and much larger location in Savannah. She’s really sweet!
Hi
This is Gayatri..I am an Indian by origin and have been in USA for last 4 years. I cuurently am persuing my masters in comp science and also have an absolute passion for cooking.I do watch Paula Deen's show a lot as i love her southern style cooking as it is much similar to the way we usually cook. Also i love butter and sour-creme =) I still remember her recipe for the fried chicken.I did try it, but all to no avail and ended up getting yelled by my bf =(.. I would love to meet her not only because she is an awesome cook, but for sumthing tht I crave for!! And that would be to get some hints from her..But, meeting her would not hurt either ;-)...Thanks...Hoping to hear soon from you !!!Regards,
Gayatri
I just interviewed her last week for work (I’m a writer), and she is just as sweet and charming and lovely in person as she is on TV.
I want to learn to cook some down home southern food…I wish she was my grandma..haha. and shes just so sweet!
