Her album, ‘Before the Poison’ is quite recent and contains collaborations with Nick Cave, PJ Harvey and Jarvis Cocker. The songs are thoughtful, humourous and dark…and that voice remains rich and unique. It’s intense, many layered, disturbing and worth many listens.

Broken English changed my life. From the first note I heard all those years ago, it has remained my favourite record to date. I’ve seen her live twice and nothing can top it.
