How I met Craig Charles
It was at Anglicon near Seattle. This is a con dedicated to British media, not necessarily science fiction. Craig Charles, who plays Dave Lister in “Red Dwarf,” was one of the guests of honor. He came to a panel, and the poor man had the American equivalent of Monteczuma’s Revenge. He was very pale, but was a real trooper and stayed the whole hour for the panel, graciously answering questions from the crowd. When the hour was up, he excused himself and said he REALLY had to get back to his room to rest. All-in-all, he was wonderful and quite the gentleman.
