How I met Jonathan Ames
I attended his reading at Tractor Tavern and was stunned by his delivery, enhanced by his deep voice, straight face, and closing “hairy call” which he has been practicing since a young lad. Afterwards I gave him a hug, he signed my book, and a bunch of us hung out at a friend’s house while we all drank beer and he didn’t.
