A story about Gael Garcia Bernal
Para que bailemos quebradita
I love intelligent people with good sense of humour.
Sadly I don’t live in Iceland, because at the moment he’s there to take part in a play based on the movie “Tillsammans” (it’s really good, btw).
He’s just a tremendous actor. Watching Gael act is exciting the way Allen Iverson plays b-ball. The first time I ever saw him was in Amores Perros and he was just great.
He seems to be highly intelligent in his interviews and thoughtful in picking his roles. (although I confess, I did not like The Crime of Padre Amaro).
He seems to have a great relationship with Director Alejandro González Iñárritu (Babel, Amors Perros.)
It seems to me- and I could be speculation wrong but though his role in Babel was kind of small, it was my hunch that he really has a rapport with the director, as he came across in that particular film as strongly confortable in his role. There was just an extra confidence presenting itself there – that’s just my impression.
Kudos to “3 Amigos” González Iñárritu, Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men) and Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labrinth)secured a 100 million dollar deal for 5 films among the directors/friends.
Congratulations to them along with along with Gael and his Y tu Mama Tambien co-star, Diego Luna who formed their own production company. Their first film was shown in Cannes during the festival. Mexico is representing in film and I can’t wait to see more good stuff from them.
He’s one of my fave actors and he’s very awesome in his movies.
Jesus! Not only is he incredibly hot but he’s an awesome actor. And multilingual! Multilingual people are #2 on my major non-physical turn-ons. Right behind being smart, and he’s that too! I’m even willing to forgive him for being an inch shorter than me.
Because he’s an unbelievably good actor. Not to mention insanely hot.
It is not an easy thing to be a character such as “Che”... But he handled it perfectly and fitted that great historical person… To be cute is not enough always…
Because, let’s face it, he is the most beautiful man on the planet. Even that dodgy hair in Amoros Perros couldn’t conceal his beauty.
And, unlike 99% of all those prancing around in the name of the acting profession, the guy can act! Not only that, but he knows how select which films to act in! Holy cow!
A bit short for me (5 six I believe – not that I just wikipediad that of course), but hey, I don’t mind bending my knees a little.
Ah, Gael. Just thinking of you has brought a smile to my otherwise dreary Friday afternoon. :)
