sweetness, best football player to ever play the game, my hero
I grew up idolizing Walter, he was the reason I was the only Bear fan in a sea of Deadskin fans growing up in North Carolina. I was lucky enough to meet him and get an 8”x10” photo autographed by him at a fitness fair in Albuquerque, New Mexico, just a few weeks before it became public that he had kidney disease. He was the GREATEST and most complete football player who ever played, and more important, he was a good man.
he was “sweetness” he is the reason i started diving over waves in the ocean with a football. he is the reason i chose my high school football number and it is still my favorite number. 34 and he is a true charachter to the game and to this day he still gives me inspiration. He passed away a few years back so i am in no rush. but sweetness, we will play some ball when i get there!!
