It’s not a good thing to write something riddled with ad-hominem fallacies. But I can tell you, this woman is not what she seems. There’s a lot of debatable things in her bio, but after one encounter with her, I tend to believe the controversies.

I approached her with a few fans, and let’s just say her language was less than polite. Now, I’ve seen athletes, musicians, and actors deal with some very pushy and hostile fans. Most of them handle it with good manners. Some of them had no choice but to be rude, when fans were invasive. The fans I was with were humble and non-threatening in the slightest.

She said one sentence, and the tone of voice and profanity she used had made me lose respect for her as a human being.

I can sing like her.. i wud go on stars in their eyes as her but hardly anyone who watches that show wud know her, lol ;)

Sometimes it sounds like she needs more air and she’s running out of breath. I love her unique, sweet, breathy voice.

She’s from Homer, Alaska, and I’m from Anchorage. I met her briefly a bit more than 10 years ago when she wasn’t big.

I once worked as a Runner for Polaris Amphitheatre (now called Germaine Amphitheatre). My job involved transporting people to and from the amphitheatre, among many other tasks.

During the Neil Young show in the summer of 1997, one of my jobs was to pick up Jewel, her mother, and her manager from the Sheraton and take her to the amphitheatre as quickly and smoothly as possible. I knew the best routes to and from to avoid traffic, and I was using my own personal vehicle, a 1994 Chrysler-Dodge Caravan, so I felt comfortable driving.
