My favorite memory of JJ Jacobi
When I was starting out at Amazon, I was fresh out of college and still finding my way around the corporate world. As my boss, JJ had caught me holding my tongue and deferring to my more experienced colleagues, even when I had something useful to contribute. One morning, I found one of those rattling noisemaker party favors sitting on my chair with a post-it from JJ, telling me to use it when I needed to make something known. I haven’t shut up since.
