It was soooo cool! I was about eight years old or so and my primary class all went and meet Goradon B Hinckley! I LOVED IT! I remember a tall as him at age eight!
He came to our tabernacle in Hawaii. I got about 35 feet of him and it was exciting. My dad actually sat down with him and spoke with him for a while. I hope that one day I’ll be able to shake his hand an speak with him even if its for a minute.
I like anyone who knows this man wants what they feel is unknown. Although, I at times of thought realize I have met this great man. He has always been where I can accept his example, teachings, and guidance into my life. As he so humbly says his life is not his own, He truely is a Prophet of God, servant of man. So I have met him, hugged his words and example of following Jesus Christ.
Gordon B. Hinckley set my grandpa apart as a sealer in late 1994. I was only 13 or 14 years old but my whole family got to go into his office and he talked with us for about 10 minutes. I shook his hand and felt pretty bashful. Anyway, what an amazing man.
he seems like such an inspiration, and im sure that if i met him, i would be able to have faith to keep holding on to the church.
When I was in college at Utah State President Gordon B. Hinckley came and spoke to the students. The day before his address I was walking to the library past the hotel on campus. President Hinckley was just arriving. I had the privelege of shaking his hand and he asked my name. He had an incredible spirit about him, and radiated love. As I shook his hand I received a powerful witness that he is a prophet of God. It is a moment that I will treasure forever. My roommate was really sad that she didn’t come to the library with me that day.
He’s our Prophet, no need to say more! He’s the basis of the reason I placed my daughter for adoption. I would love to sit down and chat with him about my adoption and to just feel the strong spirit he renders when you are around him.
I want to meet President Gordon B. Hinckley, is to inform him about some things that are happening to people in the church. And how this person has totally stoped going to church because of what has some bishops have said to this person.
